Benefiting Agencies
Eight nonprofit organizations in the Oklahoma City metro area received grants from us in 2009. The grants were awarded on November 30, 2009 during the World AIDS Day Remembrance Service at Mayflower Congregational Church.
AIDS Support Program, Inc./The Winds House operates two residences and provides shelter, food, transportation, financial and emotional support to the residents.
American Red Cross of Central Oklahoma - HIV/AIDS Community Education Program provides free HIV education to the community at large but primarily focused at youth, as well as offering certification training courses to others as HIV Prevention Instructors.
Latino Community Development Agency – Information about the Latino Community Development Agency is coming soon.
Guiding Right, Inc. provides prevention education and direct services to African Americans through risk reduction education; street and community outreach; and prevention case management.
Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma – HIV/AIDS Legal Resource Project offers free civil legal services to persons living with HIV disease.
Other Options, Inc. operates the Friends Food Pantry, the largest food pantry in western Oklahoma serving people living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
Planned Parenthood of Central Oklahoma, Inc. provides prevention education to area groups without other means of financial support.
RAIN-Oklahoma provides health care and support services to qualifying persons, including peer education and non-medical practical assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS throughout the state of Oklahoma through a strong network of volunteers.
